macOS is set to release later today, on September 26th. Let’s take a look at the top features it introduces and the supported Mac models.

With the iPhone launch concluded and Apple finally releasing the iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 updates, the iPhone maker is now gearing up to launch macOS Sonoma to all supported devices later today. The new OS is expected to bring a range of new features aimed at enhancing the Mac experience.

macOS Sonoma will be available later today for the following devices:

macOS Sonoma Features

macOS Game Mode

During its WWDC 2023 keynote, Apple introduced a brand-new mode called ‘Game Mode’ in macOS Sonoma, which optimizes CPU and GPU resources to provide a smoother gaming experience. Moreover, this mode is also expected to reduce latency with wireless accessories, such as AirPods and controllers.

Improved Autocorrect

Autocorrect in macOS Sonoma will now offer a slew of improvements over the outgoing macOS Venture. Words that have been corrected will be temporarily underlined, allowing users to easily identify changes. If you feel that autocorrect made a mistake, you can revert to the previous word with just a tap.

Widgets on Mac

Apple now provides a new widget gallery that users can choose from and place widgets on their desktops as desired. Additionally, these widgets offer control over device functions, such as playing music and adjusting lighting settings.

Better PDF and Notes Integration

Users can now view a ‘full-width PDF’ directly within the Notes app and navigate between its pages. Furthermore, users have the option to add more than one PDF document to the same note for better document organization.
