Venezuela has closed its embassy in Norway’s capital Oslo, days after opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, was honored. The Venezuelan government cited “restructuring” for the move, which also saw the closure of its Australian embassy and opening of new missions in Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso. Norway expressed regret, emphasizing the Nobel Prize’s independence from its government.
