Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro Launched With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Rear Display

The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and 17 Pro feature 6.9-inch 2K and 6.3-inch 1.5K displays, respectively, with secondary M10 back screens offering 3,500 nits brightness for AI tools, notes, and rear-camera selfies. Both run on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with HyperOS 3 and HyperIsland. Cameras include Leica-tuned 50-megapixel primary, ultrawide, and 5x periscope telephoto lenses, alongside 50-megapixel front sensors. The Pro Max has a 7,500mAh battery, while the Pro packs 6,300mAh, both supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 17 series was launched by the China-based tech giant on Thursday. The new lineup includes the standard Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The standard option is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It features a triple-rear camera setup, coupled with an LED flash, housed inside a left-aligned square camera module. The new handset also sports a 6.3-inch display with 1.18mm thin bezels.

Realme GT 8 Pro Confirmed to Debut With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, R1 Graphics Chip and Dual Symmetrical Speakers

Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the company announced on Thursday. The handset is confirmed to come with a dedicated R1 graphics chip for handling graphics intensive tasks. Realme will also equip it with dual symmetrical speakers for an improved multimedia experience. The Realme GT 8 Pro is scheduled to make its debut in China in October.
