The new iPhone 15 series does not support fast charging, even with USB C port.
The battery capacities for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 15 Pro have been revealed courtesy of Chinese regulatory findings. Here are the details.
Apple is known for keeping its device specifications secret and is especially wary of sharing numbers with its customers. Instead, it chooses to provide details about what the phones’ specifications can do. With the iPhone 15 series as well, Apple has not revealed the new battery capacities or the amount of RAM in the phones.
However, according to a report by MySmartPrice, the alleged battery capacities for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 15 Pro have been revealed. As per a Chinese regulatory database, the iPhone 15 is said to have a battery capacity of 3349 mAh, the iPhone 15 Plus gets a 4383 mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Pro gets a 3274 mAh battery, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a 4422 mAh battery.
Notably, these figures suggest that the iPhone 15 models have larger batteries compared to the iPhone 14 models.
For reference, the iPhone 14 Pro has a 3,200mAh battery, the iPhone 14 has a 3279 mAh battery, the iPhone 14 Plus has a 4325 mAh battery, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 4323 mAh battery cell.
While we can’t comment on the battery performance that the iPhone 15 series is going to deliver—theoretically—the 3nm A17 Pro chipset coupled with larger batteries should result in much better battery life compared to the iPhone 14 series.
The iPhone 15 series is currently available for pre-order in India and other regions and will go on sale starting September 22. The iPhone 15 starts at Rs 79,900 in the Indian market, the iPhone 15 Plus starts at Rs 89,900, iPhone 15 Pro retails at Rs 1,34,900 and the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at a whopping Rs 1,59,900 for the 256GB variant.
