Xiaomi Pad Mini was unveiled on Wednesday during the company’s September 2025 launch event. The new mini tablet was unveiled along with the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro, Xiaomi 15T, and Xiaomi 15T Pro. The company also launched its new smartwatches. The Chinese tech giant’s new Pad Mini will be offered in two colourways and storage options. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

Qualcomm has announced its highly-anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for mobile devices at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. The new mobile processor features third-generation Oryon cores, which enable faster performance and improved efficiency compared to the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. The chip gets support for Agentic AI assistants and is claimed to be the world’s first mobile platform to record videos in the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec.

Snapdragon X2 Elite chipsets were announced by Qualcomm at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii on Wednesday. The latest lineup comprises two chip variants — Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, with both aimed at powering Windows-based PCs. As per the company, the new platform can deliver up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. The Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme can power ultra-premium PCs.
