Sony has released a major global update for the PlayStation Portal, introducing PS5 cloud streaming for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. Starting November 5 at 6pm PT (November 6, 7:30am IST), users can play PS5 titles directly from the cloud without linking to a console. The update adds a redesigned interface, 3D audio support, accessibility features, in-game purchases, and improved connectivity tools. While the Portal remains a streaming-only device, this update makes it far more independent and versatile for portable gaming.

Google Maps has rolled out 10 new India-focused features, including Gemini-powered voice assistance for hands-free navigation, local recommendations, and the ability to ask detailed questions about routes and places. The update also introduces proactive traffic alerts and accident-prone area warnings in select cities. Some features are India-exclusive, while others mark their first expansion outside the US.

Maharashtra has signed a Letter of Intent with Starlink, becoming the first Indian state to formally partner with the SpaceX subsidiary for satellite-based internet services. The deployment will focus on remote districts, supporting government institutions and critical infrastructure that remain difficult to serve through fibre networks. The initiative aligns with the state’s digital inclusion push and India’s wider efforts to bridge connectivity gaps in underserved regions.
