Tinder is testing “Chemistry,” an AI feature that scans users’ camera rolls, after permission, to suggest a small number of more relevant matches each day and reduce swipe fatigue. Positioned as a major part of Tinder’s 2026 product strategy, the tool is live in Australia and New Zealand. However, its approach raises privacy concerns about how sensitive photos may be accessed, processed or stored.

Amazon has issued a cease-and-desist notice to Perplexity, alleging its Comet AI browser disguises itself as Chrome to bypass safeguards and access the Amazon Store on users’ behalf, creating security and trust risks. Perplexity rejected the claims, accusing Amazon of blocking innovation. The dispute highlights growing tension between major platforms and AI agents that automate browsing and transactions.
