Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), one of the most popular battle royale games in the country, has rolled its new 2.8 update for mobile gamers across the country. The latest update brings a ‘Zombies Edge’ mode with new locations, challenges, items and more.
According to the company, Erangel, Miramar, and Livik maps will witness Mutant-infested battlegrounds until November 26th, with the Aerolith Lab and Outpost as focal points.

BGMI 2.8 update is available for free download now on Android and iOS. To install BGMI 2.8 update, go to your app store (Apple App Store for iPhones or Google Play Store for Android). Then search for “Battlegrounds Mobile India” or “Battlegrounds India”.
Now tap “Install” or “Update” option. You can then sign in using your preferred method, such as Google Play Games, Twitter, Facebook, or for iOS users, Apple ID. In the game, go to the “Download” section to get additional resources and files.
According to BGMI, in the BGMI 2.8 Update, Erangel, Miramar, and Livik will witness an onslaught of infected Mutants until November 26th. The Aerolith Lab and its surrounding areas serve as the hotspot during the event, teeming with countless ‘mutants’ to kill, alongside an occasional Berserker and Ripper variants, which will prove more challenging.
In the Aerolith Lab and Outpost on these maps, your goal is to stop the Aerolith from absorbing too many Mutants. If it absorbs a lot of Mutants, it will summon the Rage Berserker, making things more challenging. If you defeat this boss, you’ll get a special crate as a reward.
The latest update also introduces Mutation Gauntlets, which can be equipped to drastically enhance gameplay. Players can hop aboard the Maglev Hoverboard, which can be acquired from the Lab, to traverse both land and sea efficiently.
“There will also be a surprise coming in October to celebrate Halloween for those who like to party,” BGMI said. Additionally, Cycle 5 Season 14 is updated with new content, rewards, and cosmetics to unlock and enjoy.
