Air France and Airbus held guilty over deadly 2009 Atlantic flight disaster

Air France and Airbus have been found guilty of manslaughter by a Paris appeals court for the 2009 crash of Flight 447, which killed all 228 people on board. The court overturned a previous ruling, holding both companies responsible for the tragedy. Fined €225,000 each, the companies plan to appeal the verdict, while victims’ families seek greater accountability.
