WhatsApp Update: A new entry point to open the communities screen may be available to some beta testers within the main overflow menu.
WhatsApp, popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is reportedly rolling out a feature to view and manage communities on the business version.
“We shared information regarding the ability to view and manage communities from the business app, a feature in development. Finally, after installing the latest WhatsApp Business beta for Android 2.23.21.10 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, some beta testers may now experiment with full support for communities,” WABetaInfo reported.
According to the report,, a new entry point to open the communities screen may be available to some beta testers within the main overflow menu. In this section, it’s possible to view the list of all communities users have previously joined and manage them.
“It’s worth noting that it may still not be possible to create communities from the business version, but at least users have now better control over viewing and managing them. However, there is still hope that this feature may be available in a future update, the report said.
As per WABetaInfo, this feature may also be available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS.
The report suggested that allowing businesses to view and manage communities is a significant step forward. While businesses could already join communities using a community invite link, they were not able to view a list of all the groups belonging to a community, making exploration and the discovery of new groups very complicated.
With this new update, business have the same capabilities as app customer users when it comes to navigating through community group chats. The feature to view and manage communities on the business version is available to some beta testers that install the latest update of WhatsApp Business for Android from the Google Play Store, and it’s rolling out to even more users over the coming days.
