A wealthy US couple, the Creightons, who hosted Afghan refugee Rahmanullah Lakanwal and his family, are facing backlash after Lakanwal allegedly shot two National Guard members. The couple had previously hosted and fundraised for the family, describing them as “genuine and kind.” Lakanwal reportedly suffered mental health issues from his time in Afghanistan,his childhood friend revealed.
