Sharjah has appointed Mohammed Obaid Al Hosan Al Shamsi as Secretary-General of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) through an Emiri Decree by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. The council, chaired by Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Humaid bin Saqr Al Qasimi with eight appointed members, will oversee sports development, talent nurturing, community engagement, and the organization of local, regional, and international sporting events.
