In Cuddalore, a 30-year-old woman, K Divya Bharathi, was arrested for allegedly pouring boiling oil on her husband, C Kannan, after he forbade her from working. The incident occurred following frequent quarrels over Kannan’s objection to his wife’s desire to work in a rice mill. Kannan sustained burn injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital.
