The National Human Rights Commission has sought a report from the Odisha Human Rights Commission regarding the lack of a permanent bridge over the Nagabali River, which has left nine tribal villages in Rayagada district isolated. The NHRC also directed the Rayagada district administration to submit an updated report on this long-pending demand, citing media reports of administrative indifference.
