Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro Launch: Google is set to host its Pixel launch event on October 4 in New York City, US, where the company will launch two latest smartphones — Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, a new smartwatch Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Buds Pro. Also, the Google Pixel launch event will be available for live streaming. You can tune in for the live stream on Google’s YouTube channel and the Google Store website at 7:30 PM IST.
In terms of pricing, the Pixel 8 is expected to be available at EUR 799 (around R. 70,200), while the starting price for the Google Pixel 8 Pro could be EUR 1099 (approximately Rs.96,500). Ahead of the launch, a report from WinFuture has revealed press renders of the upcoming Pixel devices.
According to the report, the Google Pixel 8 is expected to have a 6.17-inch full-HD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are coming with Google Tensor G3 SoC.
In terms of camera specifications, both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones will feature a 50MP main rear camera. However, the Google Pixel 8 will come with a dual camera setup, including a 12MP camera, and the Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to come with a triple camera setup, including a 64MP and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Additionally, both devices are expected to have a 10.5MP front camera for video calls and selfies.
Coming to storage options, the Pixel 8 is expected to have two storage options– 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, paired with 8GBRAM and the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to come in three storage configurations — 12GB+128GB storage, 12GBRAM +256GB storage, and 12GB+ 512GB storage.
