Court quashes Comey and Letitia James cases: Trump’s interim attorney pick ruled invalid

A federal judge has dismissed indictments against James Comey and Letitia James, ruling President Trump’s appointment of interim US attorney Lindsey Halligan invalid. The judge cited Halligan’s “defective appointment” as unlawful, impacting all actions taken under her tenure. While charges can be refiled, Comey’s may be time-barred.
