Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a warning to Google Chrome users. The advisory was issued on Wednesday after the government agency discovered many security flaws in the Windows, Mac, and Linux version of Google Chrome. These vulnerabilities, if exploited, could allow allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. CERT-In has issued a ‘High’ severity warning for this vulnerability.

Google may soon allow Android users to share earthquake alerts with others, including iOS contacts, through messaging apps or social media, with notifications expected to carry the hashtag #AndroidEarthquakeAlerts. An APK teardown also hints at a new Tools icon on the Gemini overlay, providing quick access to features like Veo video tools and image generation. While based on unfinished code and not guaranteed in public releases, these teardowns reveal potential upcoming enhancements to Android’s earthquake alerts and user tools.

WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out a new feature for beta testers, dubbed Status Questions. With this, users will be able to add a new question sticker to their status updates, along with photos, videos, and text. Their contacts will be able to submit their responses by typing the answer directly into the question box. The responses could be end-to-end encrypted to ensure privacy and security.
