Google Pixel 10 Pro XL debuted globally on August 20, alongside the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10. All three phones in the latest Google lineup are powered by the proprietary Tensor G5 chip. However, over the weekend, several users of the recently launched phones started sharing their ordeal on social media platforms regarding an issue that has reportedly now been fixed. The apps on the Pixel 10 Pro series were found to be continuously crashing and freezing.

Android devices are susceptible to a new type of attack that can covertly steal two-factor authentication (2FA) codes, private messages, location timelines, and other data. Security researchers have devised this new attack, called Pixnapping, which can exploit loopholes and security flaws in Android without requiring any system permissions. As per a report, the malicious application can convert mapped pixel coordinates into alphanumeric characters or geometric shapes by exploiting a side channel.

Vivo X300 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, slightly outperforms the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in AnTuTu scores, leading in CPU and memory, while Xiaomi excels in GPU and UX. Despite both chips using TSMC’s 3nm process, the Dimensity 9500 is estimated to cost around 50 percent less than Qualcomm’s chip. With rising Snapdragon prices, MediaTek’s cheaper yet powerful alternative may attract more phone makers.

Realme GT 8 Pro, developed in collaboration with Ricoh Imaging, will include an ultra-high transparency lens group meeting Ricoh GR standards, Ricoh GR Mode with fast-start interface, signature shutter sound, Snap Mode focus presets, and 28mm and 40mm focal lengths. Users will be able to customise five Classic Ricoh GR Tones and swap the camera island’s design. The phone will also include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter, a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

The Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro are expected to go official in China soon and key specifications of the handsets have now been tipped. As per a tipster, the Reno 15 models will be powered by a Dimensity 8000 series chip. Both handsets are tipped to sport 1.5K 120Hz OLED screens. The Reno 15 Pro could have a 6,000mAh battery, while the standard model could go even bigger.
