Vivo X300 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, slightly outperforms the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in AnTuTu scores, leading in CPU and memory, while Xiaomi excels in GPU and UX. Despite both chips using TSMC’s 3nm process, the Dimensity 9500 is estimated to cost around 50 percent less than Qualcomm’s chip. With rising Snapdragon prices, MediaTek’s cheaper yet powerful alternative may attract more phone makers.

Realme GT 8 Pro, developed in collaboration with Ricoh Imaging, will include an ultra-high transparency lens group meeting Ricoh GR standards, Ricoh GR Mode with fast-start interface, signature shutter sound, Snap Mode focus presets, and 28mm and 40mm focal lengths. Users will be able to customise five Classic Ricoh GR Tones and swap the camera island’s design. The phone will also include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter, a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

The Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro are expected to go official in China soon and key specifications of the handsets have now been tipped. As per a tipster, the Reno 15 models will be powered by a Dimensity 8000 series chip. Both handsets are tipped to sport 1.5K 120Hz OLED screens. The Reno 15 Pro could have a 6,000mAh battery, while the standard model could go even bigger.

Google has started rolling out the AI-powered makeup effects on Google Meet for web and mobile. This feature allows users to apply virtual foundation, blush, and lipstick. There are 12 new studio makeup looks, and the preference of the user will be saved for the next meeting. The rollout started on October 8, and it is likely to reach all the supported accounts within 15 days

Nothing Phone 3a Lite is in development, according to a report. The handset is expected to be introduced as an affordable version of the Nothing Phone 3, sitting below the model in the company's lineup. It is reported to come in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and may be offered in black and white colourways.
