The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has launched Fintech 2030, a five-year roadmap built on the success of Fintech 2025. Centred on Data, Artificial Intelligence, Resilience and Tokenisation (DART), it introduces 40 initiatives, including tokenised bonds, e-HKD trials and quantum-safe infrastructure to strengthen Hong Kong’s global fintech leadership.

OpenAI has been urged by Japan’s Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA) to stop training its AI models on copyrighted anime and gaming content. CODA, representing major publishers behind Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Final Fantasy and Studio Ghibli classics, said Sora 2 outputs closely resemble protected works, potentially indicating misuse of training data. The group demanded OpenAI halt such training and formally respond to rights-holders’ infringement concerns.
