EA has announced Battlefield Redsec, the free-to-play Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6. The game will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X on October 28, alongside Season 1 of post-launch content. Battlefield Redsec will support 100 players across a single, expansive map.

Google is launching a public preview of its Gemini-powered Fitbit Personal Health Coach on October 28 for Fitbit Premium users in the US. The AI-based assistant combines fitness, sleep, and wellness guidance within a redesigned Fitbit app featuring new sections and an “Ask Coach” option. Users can chat naturally to receive personalised plans and insights. Initially available only on Android, the preview will expand to iOS later. Google plans a full rollout next year, further integrating AI into personalised health tracking.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 will launch next year with S-Pen support, according to a report. The handset is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, which would be an upgrade over the Galaxy Z Fold 7's 4,400mAh battery. This year's flagship foldable from the South Korean tech giant does not feature stylus support to achieve a thin form factor. Recently, a report revealed that the company is working on bringing back S-Pen support for its flagship phones.

A new leak suggests Apple has completed testing its solid-state button technology, paving the way for mass production with the iPhone 20 series in 2027. These buttons, including power, volume, action, and camera, will likely simulate clicks using localised haptic feedback instead of physical movement, improving durability and water resistance. The transition may reportedly begin with the iPhone 18 in 2026, where the camera button will shift to a pressure-sensing design before adopting piezoelectric ceramic feedback in later models.

Apple is reportedly working to pack 12GB RAM in the base iPhone 18 model. This could be an upgrade from the 8GB available in the iPhone 17. Apple is also said to be in talks with supplier Samsung to increase the supply of LPDDR5X chips. It is also said to be in talks with SK Hynix and Micron for additional mobile DRAM supply.
