iQOO 15 will launch in India in November, the iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya (@nipunmarya) confirmed in an X (formerly Twitter) post. The exact launch date has yet to be announced. It will be unveiled in China on October 20. The promotional image confirmed that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and will run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box.

Vivo on Wednesday announced OriginOS 6 for its handsets in the global markets, replacing the existing FuntouchOS. The Android 16-based operating system (OS) is claimed to “redefine” human-computer interaction in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Among the many changes is the new Origin Smooth Engine, which promises a smooth user experience by optimising the system’s core modules, computing, storage, and display. There are new motion effects, customisation options, fonts, and AI features in the update.

After introducing a ‘Pro Max’ variant in its numbered series, Xiaomi is also bringing it to its sub-brand’s upcoming performance-focused sub-flagship lineup. During a livestream, a Xiaomi official confirmed the moniker of the Redmi K90 Pro Max. Although specifications remain under wraps, the upcoming handset is rumoured to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, competing with other flagship handsets in the market.
