An 86-year-old man from Mineral Wells, Texas, has been building a 62-foot steel boat since 1987. After three visitors discovered his ambition, they launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the project. More than $41,000 has been raised towards completing the boat and moving it to a launch site. The remaining work on the vessel is expected to require about $50,000 in funding.
