Students at ashram school shaved ‘halfway’ so they wouldn’t run off to play, barber returns at 10pm, cuts hair till 4am; headmaster suspended

At a government ashram school in Chandrapur, 82 students received partial haircuts due to a misguided decision. The superintendent ordered students’ heads to be shaved halfway to prevent playing. After the barber’s trimmer battery died, students were left with patchy haircuts and completed their haircuts through the night. Complaints about the incident led to administrative actions against the school officials involved.
