Seventeen adult rufous bettongs were released into Ngambaa Nature Reserve after being translocated from Aussie Ark’s facility. This marks a significant step in reintroducing approximately 30 bettongs over the next 18 months. The nocturnal marsupials are essential for ecosystem health as they help disperse nutrients and fungi. They will be monitored using cameras and microchip scanners to track their progress.
