Calcutta high court rejects TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s foreign travel plea for eye treatment

The Calcutta High Court denied Abhishek Banerjee permission to travel abroad for treatment. He declined to appear before a medical board at SSKM Hospital. Banerjee wished to be examined by a doctor of his own choice. The court deemed the SSKM board assessment necessary for his condition. His plea for overseas travel was consequently dismissed by the bench.
