‘We naturally do not accept it’: Russia rejects Alexei Navalny poisoning charge by Europeans nations

Russia has dismissed accusations from European nations that it poisoned Alexei Navalny with epibatidine as “biased and baseless.” Britain, Sweden, France, Germany and the Netherlands said in a joint statement on Saturday that they believe Navalny was poisoned with epibatidine, a toxic substance derived from poison dart frogs. While the US is not disputing the charge, it has refrained from direct comments. Navalny, a prominent critic of Vladimir Putin, died in February 2024 at an Arctic penal colony.
