YouTube will introduce stricter content rules from November 17 to limit video game footage featuring “graphic violence.” The updated policy, part of efforts to protect younger viewers, expands existing Community Guidelines to cover more forms of violent depictions. It will target scenes showing realistic human characters being tortured or large-scale violence against unarmed civilians. Such videos will be age-restricted, allowing access only to users above 18, as YouTube aims to tighten enforcement around violent gaming content.
