गूगल पिक्सल का नया फीचर
हालांकि, अभी तक गूगल ने इस बात की आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं की है, लेकिन एंड्रॉयड अथॉरिटी की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, गूगल आने वाले पिक्सल स्मार्टफोन में आपातकालीन एसओएस को फीचर शामिल करने की तैयारी कर रहा है. इस रिपोर्ट में मौजूद एक वीडियो दिखाती है कि जब यूज़र्स इमरजेंसी सर्विस का एक्सेस पाने की कोशिश करेंगे तो उन्हें एक एनीमेशन दिखाई देगा.
इस रिपोर्ट को देखकर ऐसा लगता है कि जब यूज़र्स इमजरेंसी सर्विस को पाने की कोशिश करेंगे तब पिक्सल 9 सैटेलाइट कनेक्शन करने से पहले यूज़र्स से कुछ सवाल पूछ सकता है. उदाहरण के तौर पर पिक्सल 9 या पिक्सल फोल्ड 2 में इमरजेंसी एक्सेस देने से पहले यूज़र्स से पूछा जा सकता है कि उनके साथ क्या हुआ है? उन्हें सांस लेने में तकलीफ हो रही है? वहां आग लग गई है या हथियारों से संबंधित कोई समस्या है, इत्यादि.
क्या एलन मस्क की कंपनी के साथ होगी साझेदारी?

इस सर्विस के बारे में लेटेस्ट अपडेट जनवरी में आई थी, जब कंपनी ने पुष्टि की थी कि वह अभी भी फंक्शन्स की टेस्टिंग कर रही है. ऐसे में हो सकता है कि इस साल अक्टूबर में गूगल पिक्सल 9 के लॉन्च होने के वक्त तक इसकी टेस्टिंग पूरी हो जाएगी. हालांकि, एक डेवलपर द्वारा जारी किए गए एक अन्य रिपोर्ट में कहा गया था कि उसने गूगल मैसेज ऐप पर कुछ कोड्स को स्पॉट किया है. इस डेवलपर के मुताबिक गूगल Garmin को सैटेलाइट सर्विस प्रोवाइडर के रूप में इस्तेमाल कर सकता है.
