Apple offers 5 years support for iPhones which makes them usable for a long time and the new iOS 17 update is rolling out to these iPhone models.

Unless you are still using the iPhone X from 2017, Apple will provide the new iOS 17 update for all the latest iPhone models. The new iOS version is rolling out on Monday, September 18 and unlike Android users, a major chunk of the iPhones should get the update alert on the same day. Apple continues to support iPhones for up to 5 years, which means you get 5 iOS updates. Since the iPhone X came out 6 years ago, it is no longer getting an iOS update from the company. Having said that, if you still own the model, you will get one more year of security updates and another two years of hardware support in the market.
